This position will be located at Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Environmental Remediation Program, 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

  • Supervise Tanks administrative team member by overseeing and coordinating the work of team member doing a limited range of general activities in direct support of the section, including but not limited to clerical, printing services, mail services, administrative, and other business support activities ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient flow of work in the office.
  • Provide support functions such as personnel; expenditure control; accounting; maintenance of files and records; requisitioning, storage, issuance, and/or local procurement of supplies and equipment; approval of requisitions for payment of operating expenses; selection, placement, and supervision of team members; and operation of a central phone system.
  • Assist Program Manager in the administration of Tanks Section in the coordination of communications internally and externally, and in representing the agency to the public, special interest groups, the legislature, and the media.
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access), SharePoint, and Adobe.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • 3 to 5 years of general office experience. (Education may substitute for some of the required experience)
