About this role
About the Team
The Strategy and Transformation team for the Field Operations organization at Uber sets the vision and strategy for Field Ops, runs agent operations, undertakes our most complex and transformative projects, and drives the optimization of our global operations. We execute this future-state vision across five core pillars: Special Projects, Strategy and Programs, Business Planning and Improvement, Transformation, and Analytics. Within Transformation, we act as the catalyst for large-scale structural change, redefining our operating models, optimizing our global footprint, and fostering a high-performance culture that empowers our globally distributed workforce to thrive.
About the Role
As the Lead for Culture, Communications, and Change Management, you will be the driving force behind how our transformation is experienced, understood, and embraced by the Field Ops organization.
Sitting within the Transformation team, you will own the comprehensive strategy for our target culture, change management, and executive communications. You will be responsible for keeping a pulse on the organization—running right-fit diagnostics, championing the "voice of the team," and leading our engagement with the Uber Pulse Survey. You will translate complex structural shifts into clear, compelling large-scale communications and change strategies. The ideal candidate is an empathetic yet strategic communicator who knows how to guide large, distributed teams through periods of significant organizational evolution.
What You'll Do
- Culture Strategy & Diagnostics: Lead the target culture workstream for the transformation, utilizing organizational diagnostics and the Uber Pulse Survey to capture and act on the "voice of the team."
- Change Management: Design, define, and execute comprehensive change management strategies to support complex transformation workstreams across the global network.
- Executive Communications: Partner with senior leadership to draft, refine, and deliver high-impact executive communications that align the organization around strategic goals.
- Large-Scale Engagement: Develop and execute large-scale, network-wide communication plans to ensure transformation narratives are clearly understood at all levels of the business.
- Transformation Integration: Act as the critical bridge within the Transformation Office, ensuring that shifts in footprint, operating model, and tech are supported by robust culture and change plans.
Basic Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree.
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience specifically focused on corporate communications, organizational culture, and change management.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience driving change management, culture, and communication strategies within the context of a large-scale corporate transformation or restructuring.
- Strong expertise in organizational diagnostics, employee engagement surveys (e.g., Pulse), and actionable cultural readouts.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
