About this role
About the role and team
Leading Product Operations for Mobility Marketplace means sitting at the high-stakes intersection of product, operations, and business to transform how the world moves. You will lead the team responsible for launching and scaling pricing, matching and incentives products across all 70+ markets in which Uber Operates. You should be able to understand all the complex algorithms which drive Uber’s marketplace while keeping a close eye on how they balance different business tradeoffs.
The pace here is intense, and the path is rarely scripted. You’ll need to thrive in ambiguity, making critical calls with imperfect information while leading through influence across a complex global organization. This role is for a resilient leader with a "driver" mindset who finds energy in the messiness of finding the right balance between navigating org realities to create maximum impact
What you’ll do
- Lead and coach a high-performing team of Product Operations Managers, setting clear direction and building a culture of accountability in a high-velocity environment.
- Navigate competing priorities and internal complexity to align executive stakeholders on a unified global product strategy.
- Own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy, making hard trade-offs on where and when to launch products to maximize business impact.
- Turn complex business insights and "on-the-ground" reality into clear, actionable product improvements that solve real-world customer pain points.
- Unblock product development by influencing cross-functional partners in legal, finance, and engineering without direct authority.
- Identify and fix operational friction points within the product stack to increase velocity and transparency across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in tech, consulting, or operations, with a strong preference for Product or Product Operations roles.
- Proven experience directly managing teams and building high-output, inclusive cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, global project management efforts and end-to-end product roll-outs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data quickly to inform critical business decisions.
- Experience independently driving alignment and influencing senior stakeholders across a complex, global organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- "Driver" mindset with a bias for action and a proven ability to simplify ambiguous problems into focused execution plans.
- Deep understanding of consumer products and the ability to maintain a high bar for the user experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience building data-driven stories to support product improvements.
- Resilient and resourceful approach to navigating the trade-offs and pressure points of a fast-changing environment.
