About this role

Location: Hybrid — 2 days on-site; remaining days may be conducted remotely.

The Leave & Accommodation Coordinator provides administrative and case coordination support for employee leave, reasonable accommodation, and transitional work processes. The position works with employees and departments to facilitate timely follow-up, documentation, and transitional work planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate leave and reasonable accommodation processes and provide employees with applicable forms and information.
  • Follow up with departments regarding their ability to accommodate documented employee work restrictions.
  • Assist departments in drafting Transitional Work Plans (TWPs) based on employee restrictions and departmental information.
  • Track active TWPs and follow up with employees and departments as plans approach their end dates.
  • Obtain updated work status and coordinate extensions or modifications to TWPs when needed.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, records, documents, and tracking information in the case management system.
  • Communicate with employees and departments regarding outstanding information and next steps.
  • Escalate complex accommodation, leave, or return-to-work matters to the Principal Disability Analysts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee medical and personnel information.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in human resources, leave administration, disability management, workers’ compensation, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with employees and managers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee and medical information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and recognize when matters require escalation.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating return-to-work or transitional work arrangements.
  • Proficiency with standard office applications and electronic recordkeeping/tracking systems.
