Other Conditions: For placement in lecturer pool for Spring 2027 and future semesters, day and/or evening courses, including Outreach extension and summer courses. Contingent upon registration, position availability, course offerings, departmental need, and funding. Lecturer positions are part-time, non-tenure. Duties and Responsibilities
Teach one or more Travel Industry Management courses including TIM 321 (Sociocultural Issues in Tourism) and TIM 425 (Destination Development and Marketing).
Conduct all scheduled classes and meet course requirements established by the School of Travel Industry Management, including preparing course syllabi and grading student work.
Maintain office hours and be accessible to students.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Travel Industry Management, tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field.
Proven ability to teach at the college/university level.
Desirable Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in Travel Industry Management, tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field.
Professional experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
Teaching experience in tourism or other topics listed under “Duties and Responsibilities”.
Evidence of teaching ability in one or more of the areas listed under “Duties and Responsibilities”, including sociocultural issues in tourism and destination development and marketing.
