Legal Operations Analyst - St. Louis, MO

Mercy is hiring a Legal Operations Analyst to support its Legal Department in managing claims and litigation matters. The role maintains matter records and deadlines, prepares reports and analyses, supports insurance activities, and improves legal processes through technology and automation.

What you'll do:

• Manage claims and litigation matters from opening through closure, ensuring information, documentation, deadlines, and financial activity remain accurate and current
• Track active matters, follow up on outstanding items, and partner with attorneys and other stakeholders to keep work moving forward
• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and analyses that highlight trends, costs, outcomes, and other insights for leadership
• Support insurance activities, including coverage verification, claim histories, carrier reporting, and audit preparation
• Help improve processes through standardization, technology, automation, and approved AI tools
• Develop practical templates, prompts, workflows, and guides that make work more efficient and consistent

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and manage changing priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort with spreadsheets, data, reporting tools, and technology, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Previous experience in claims, litigation, a law firm, or paralegal work is not required
