About this role
About the Practice
Animal Emergency & Critical Care of Lynchburg provides emergency and critical care to Central Virginia's pets when their regular vet is closed, including inpatient critical care, outpatient medicine and surgery, trauma and abdominal surgery, oxygen and ventilator therapy, and blood and plasma transfusions. We're also a Gold Level Compassion-Satisfaction Accredited Workplace, a distinction that recognizes how we support our own team, not just the patients on our table. If you want to practice real emergency medicine and work somewhere that takes care of you while you do it, this is the place.
What You'll Help Make Possible
- Critical patients who stabilize faster because someone experienced got the catheter, the oxygen, and the fluids going without hesitation
- Surgical and anesthetic cases that go smoothly because monitoring never slips
- Clients getting through the scariest night of their pet's life with someone calm guiding them through it
- Diagnoses that come faster because radiography, ultrasound, and lab work are handled with skill under pressure
- A hospital that can say yes to every emergency that walks through the door, day or night

- Experience in emergency or critical care medicine
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule
