LM Electrical Engineering Intern

CITGO Petroleum Corporation is a refining company operating refineries and related energy infrastructure. The Electrical Engineering Intern will support Project Engineering or Reliability projects at a refinery, conduct engineering research, update technical records and documentation, and assist with equipment reliability and integrity plans under the direction of senior engineers.

What you'll do:

• Generate discipline-related work scopes and complete project documentation updates / review
• Familiarize with CITGO Engineering practices by editing the engineering training manual and apply as necessary to perform assigned work tasks
• Assist with the update / creation of equipment reliability and integrity plans
• Review existing engineering documentation for completeness and consistency with current policies and procedures, including drawings and technical data. Complete update to documentation as necessary or assigned
• Consult with Senior Project Engineers and Managers in the group, and complete site visits in support of ongoing engineering efforts. Site visits may include witnessing site activities and scoping / verification for projects

What they're looking for:

• High School Diploma
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering Bachelor Degree program
• Must be at least a sophomore status in college (completion of freshman year)
• Must have overall GPA of 3.0 or above
• Availability to work forty (40) hours per week for full 12 week program
• Must have valid driver's license
• Candidate must posess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work in a a team environment
• Transportation Worker Identification Creditential (TWIC) Eligibility
• Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.
