About this role

Goldman Sachs, through Specialisterne’s Neurodiversity Hiring Initiative, is seeking a Loan Operations Analyst Intern for an in-office role in Dallas. The role provides operational support to a trading desk, manages corporate loan lifecycle events, handles escalations and exceptions, assesses operational risks, and identifies process improvements, with an opportunity to transition to full-time employment.

What you'll do:

  • Provide operational support to a trading desk, manage loan lifecycle events processing, learn about trade flow from start to finish, and apply knowledge for exceptions managements
  • Recognize and act upon the changing economic and market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, and the impact of the evolving technology landscape to assess the operational risks inherent in business on a continual basis
  • Work with trading counterparties, including internal teams, clients & their custodians, and other financial institutions to properly handle escalations and flag high risk issues to the management team
  • Use Critical Thinking skills to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop solutions to resolve corporate loan servicing specific issues, contribute to strategic decision-making, and enhance organizational efficiency
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of daily responsibilities, projects, and to consistently meet deadlines
  • Maintain awareness of industry initiatives and market trends in the loan market that can impact business objectives and provide opportunities to improve processes

  • Are current U.S. residents who are authorized to work lawfully in the United States, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
  • Candidates should be currently located within commutable distance to the role location to be considered
  • This is not a student internship. Candidates should have a completed degree to be considered
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to be able to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop solutions
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • The ability to take initiative and work efficiently
  • An interest in valuation and finance/accounting
