Machine Operator- Day Shift- Lumberton, NC

Job Purpose

Under close supervision, perform various duties to safely and efficiently operate, pack, and remove product from machine and related equipment in accordance with detailed instructions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Under close supervision, work from written and verbal instructions to operate Machines to manufacture and / or assemble finished products

· Follow production schedules and product specifications to efficiently maintain quality and quantity standards

· Add component parts and unload machines manually, remaining at machine at all times while machine is operating

· Check machine operations for jams and damaged products

· Inspect quality of incoming materials and finished goods

· Maintain required levels of materials in staging area

· Load, unload, and arrange materials and supplies as needed

· Mark and / or label boxes of finished product (count and item number)

· Retain all defects for Team Leader to inspect, repair all defects when required

· Assist with and relieve other work center positions, as needed

· Promote a safe and healthy work environment on all company property to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitors

· Carry out duties in compliance with company policies and procedures

· Maintain regular and predictable attendance

· Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs require
