We are hiring a Maintenance Assistant to maintain a safe, reliable, cleanly environment for our residents and staff. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, grounds work, painting, simple electrical and plumbing repairs and attention to other building concerns.

Status: Per Diem

Schedule: As needed, weekdays and weekends

Pay Range: $17.50hr.-$26.00/hr.


Responsibilities:

• Complete work order requests
• Perform safety checks on equipment and the facility
• Assist in fire and disaster drills
• Inspect fire extinguishers and document findings
• Test emergency generator under load condition
• General grounds keeping (litter pick-up, snow removal, etc.)
• Repair telephones and nurse call systems
• Repair walls, flooring and furniture
• Painting and wall covering as needed
• Move and relocate offices and resident rooms
• May be required to drive company vehicle

• High school diploma or equivalent education required; technical education preferred
• Prior maintenance experience in a health care setting preferred
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical preferred
• Well-rounded knowledge of building trades, tools and the ability to maintain the physical plant and ancillary equipment
• Working knowledge of fire alarm systems and testing preferred
