About the Department


The Lakefront Management Authority manages, controls, regulates, operates, and maintains any non-flood protection facility or improvement asset or function within a levee district within the jurisdiction of a flood protection authority.

Position Duties

One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR

Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties:  


  • Performs landscaping and grass cutting activities at airport facilities as needed.
  • Picks up debris and tree limbs throughout the airport
  • Repairs fencing and light fixtures on airport grounds
  • Safeguards that the day-to-day maintenance required to ensure functionality and environmental compliance is performed.
  • Assists with the maintenance and repairs of over 350 airfield lights and signs.
  • Monitors landscaping and grass cutting activities at all facilities

Compensation:  The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
