Maintenance Repairman 2 (Salary) - Gifford Pinchot State Park

THE POSITION

The Maintenance Repairman 2 role with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is a strong opportunity for skilled workers ready to take on greater responsibility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports park operations by performing skilled work across several trades to maintain and repair park buildings and facilities. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Trade Skills: Carry out carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and mechanical repairs to park facilities
• Project Leadership: Lead other workers during construction and maintenance projects
• Equipment Operation: Operate light and heavy equipment safely and maintain accurate reports
• Vendor Coordination: Contact vendors, gather pricing information, and prepare cost estimates
• Facility Care: Clean park areas, maintain tools, and ensure workspaces remain organized

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Employee in this position will be required to work weekends, and holidays as required.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
