Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, level two Maintenance Technicians perform intermediate preventative maintenance responsibilities for CNC machines, such as troubleshooting, checking, constructing, installation, moving, and repairing, as well as disposing of hazardous materials.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs regular, scheduled, emergency, and unscheduled repairs of production equipment and machines during production.
  • Performs preventative maintenance including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting on all applicable CNC machines, and maintains weekly oil stocking and chip management.
  • Operates CNC machines in manual mode and changes filters and belts as needed.
  • Performs basic installation and troubleshooting of air supply lines.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance services.
  • Operates forklift and scissor lift and performs daily forklift check-up for any issues or defects.
  • Uses hand tools, such as wrenches, handheld power tools, such as saws and drills, and precision measuring devices, such as dial indicators to diagnoses equipment problems and replaces, repairs, tests, and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Interacts and communicates with all levels of the organization, including the shop floor and management.
  • Understands basic assembly and electrical drawings and may troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • May move and level manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Uses intermediate computer skills, such as ERP/MRP and work order request navigation as well as entering requisitions to purchase parts.
  • Follows all safety policies, such as PPE, equipment operation, and has performs proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Implements and maintains good organization (6S).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-6 years of manufacturing experience, with a strong background using hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and industrial techniques.
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
  • Previous HVAC and PLC experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Okumas and Mori machines preferred.
