How you'll contribute
A Maintenance Worker who excels in this role:
- Performs maintenance and repair work to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital buildings and systems.
- Supports daily plant operations and contributes to regulatory compliance and facility improvements.
- Reports daily to the Director of Plant Operations regarding facility conditions and the progress of assigned tasks.
- Supports the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
- Collaborates with other departments to schedule work, establish priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies.
- Performs maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
- Assists with facility fire and safety inspections and implements safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments.
- Collaborates with clinical and administrative departments for facility support
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; hospital setting preferred.
- Must be able to operate independently and handle a variety of building systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
