The Management Readiness Internship isn't a traditional summer job or job shadowing experience. It's an opportunity to develop the judgment, skills, and experience needed to become an effective leader.
Interns work alongside experienced professionals while contributing to real work that impacts our clients, our teams, and our business.
Throughout the internship, you'll develop the ability to:

Every participant begins in the field because effective leaders first understand how work is produced. In fact, 95% of Klausing Group managers spent time in the field before leading people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside maintenance and enhancement crews to understand how quality work is planned, executed, and supervised.
- Support daily field operations while learning Safety, Quality, and Efficiency standards.
- Participate in production planning, scheduling, operational problem-solving, and quality management.
- Walk properties with Account Managers to better understand client relationships, service delivery, and enhancement opportunities.
- Gain experience using business systems including BOSS LM, Asana, and WhipAround.
- Complete a capstone project focused on improving operations, quality, safety, client experience, or environmental impact, and present recommendations to company leadership.
Experience and Skills:
We're looking for students who are:
- Interested in horticulture, turfgrass, agriculture, landscaping, or related industries.
- Curious about business, operations, and leadership.
- Strong communicators and critical thinkers.
- Comfortable solving problems and working as part of a team.
- Willing to learn through hands-on experience.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Position Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in:
- Horticulture
- Turfgrass Management
- Agriculture or Agricultural Business
- Landscape Management
- Or a related field
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work outdoors.
- Availability for part-time or full-time employment depending on the academic term.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
