About this Position

The Oklahoma State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine, Cherokee Nation (OSU-COMCN), is seeking enthusiastic and experienced candidates for the position of Anatomy Lab Manager. The successful candidate will manage the Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy Laboratories, as well as, maintain the cadaveric specimens of the OSU-COM Body Donor Program’s housed at the OSU-COMCN. The Anatomy Lab Manager will work under the direction of the OSU-CHS Professor/Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (OSU-Center for Health Sciences, Tulsa, OK). 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Previous experience with human cadavers and human cadaveric materials. 

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Must be comfortable around embalmed cadavers and the dissection process. 

  • Position requires deep knowledge and understanding of laboratory safety protocols and the responsible conduct of good clinical and laboratory practices. 

  • Position requires professionalism, diplomacy, a highly-developed degree of judgment, initiative and the ability to work independently. 

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the interpersonal skills necessary to relate to a wide range of individuals and to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision in a time sensitive environment. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong teaming, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, as are analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and ability to attend to detail.
