Manufacturing Associate Intern – Elwood, Kansas (Summer 2027)

Elanco is a global animal health company focused on preventing and treating disease in farm animals and pets. The Manufacturing Associate Intern will join the TSMS team in Elwood, Kansas, working on a hands-on technical project to improve manufacturing processes, solve business challenges, and support operational excellence. The role includes cross-functional process and quality improvements, exposure to manufacturing activities, and study design improvement processes.

What you'll do:

• Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit
• Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements
• Learn about quality control, mAbs production, product recovery, product finishing, or companion animal packaging
• Study design improvement processes

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
• Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn
• Prior internship or professional experience in a life-science industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
• Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
