About this role
Job Description
Help Shape Precision Aerospace Components
PCC Structurals – Carson City is looking for a Manufacturing Aerospace Technician to support the finishing and dimensional correction of aerospace castings. In this hands-on role, you’ll inspect components, use specialized tools and equipment, and carefully make adjustments so each part meets its required dimensions.
This role is a strong fit for someone who is skilled with hand tools and calipers, follows processes carefully, and wants to develop specialized aerospace manufacturing skills.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect aerospace castings for warping, distortion, and other dimensional concerns.
- Verify part numbers, job numbers, and quantities against work orders.
- Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform straightening operations using presses, fixtures, hammers, and specialized tooling.
- Apply controlled force to bring castings within dimensional and flatness requirements.
- Read and follow work orders, technique cards, blueprints, and written instructions.
- Handle parts carefully to prevent damage during inspection and processing.
- Complete production sheets and maintain accurate part traceability.
- Report equipment concerns and help keep tools and equipment in working order.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Meet established production, cycle-time, and quality expectations.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You…
- Are highly skilled and comfortable working with hand tools.
- Have experience using calipers and other precision measuring tools.
- Pay close attention to measurements, instructions, and part identification.
- Understand GD&T principles or are familiar with dimensional tolerances.
- Enjoy hands-on work and learning how manufacturing equipment operates.
- Can perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
- Take safety seriously and use equipment responsibly.
- Work well independently and as part of a production team.
- Are dependable, organized, and willing to learn new processes.
Why This Role Matters
Aerospace castings must meet precise dimensional requirements before they can move to the next stage of production. Your work will help correct distortion, protect parts from damage, and ensure each component meets the required specifications. Careful inspection and controlled adjustments directly support product quality, production flow, and customer requirements.
