Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Trinity College-Hartford is a liberal arts institution seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for its Career & Life Design Center. The role coordinates integrated marketing and communications initiatives, develops content, manages digital platforms, produces promotional materials, and promotes programs, events, student success, employer and alumni engagement, and experiential learning.

What you'll do:

• Coordinate and execute marketing and communication initiatives that support the Career & Life Design Center's mission, programs, services, and strategic priorities while supporting select division-wide marketing and communication initiatives within Academic Affairs
• Develop, write, edit, and publish engaging content across multiple communication channels, including websites, email communications, newsletters, social media, digital signage, print publications, and other marketing platforms
• Manage and maintain the Career & Life Design website and social media platforms, ensuring content remains current, accessible, engaging, and aligned with institutional branding standards while utilizing analytics to evaluate engagement and recommend improvements
• Design and produce marketing and promotional materials, including graphics, presentations, photography, video content, digital assets, and other communication resources that effectively promote Career & Life Design programs, services, events, and initiatives
• Coordinate integrated marketing and promotional campaigns for workshops, career fairs, networking events, employer engagement, alumni programming, experiential learning opportunities, and other departmental initiatives
• Develop and share compelling stories that highlight student success, career outcomes, employer partnerships, alumni engagement, faculty collaborations, and experiential learning opportunities to strengthen visibility and engagement
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, alumni, employers, the Office of Communications and Marketing, and other campus partners to coordinate communications, promote initiatives, and ensure consistent messaging across platforms
• Coordinate communication projects and marketing operations, including communication timelines, content calendars, digital asset management, and oversight of student employees or interns supporting marketing and communications initiatives
• Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in higher education marketing, digital communications, social media, and audience engagement, and perform other related duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• * Bachelor's Degree
• * 1-3 years of experience
• * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• * Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• * Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects with accuracy and professionalism
• * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using digital communication, social media, website content management (CMS), and graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools)
• * Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or constituent engagement
• * Experience creating content for digital and print communications, including social media, websites, email marketing, photography, or video
• * Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and external partners
• * Ability to occasionally support evening and weekend programs and events as departmental needs require
• Preferably within higher education
