Marketing & Brand Strategy Intern

Midwest Shoe Merchants is a third-generation, family-owned company dedicated to serving customers throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. As a Marketing Intern, you will work with the Marketing team to develop campaigns, create content, and support community events, gaining practical experience that contributes to your career.

What you'll do:

• Help develop and execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, and in-store channels
• Create engaging content including social media graphics, blog posts, photography, and short-form videos
• Support community events, health fairs, and in-store promotions
• Assist our retail locations with marketing materials and localized outreach
• Help organize marketing assets, coordinate projects, and keep campaigns moving forward
• Collaborate with team members across Marketing, Merchandising, and eCommerce
• Bring fresh ideas while learning how marketing supports a growing multi-brand retail business

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
• Enjoy writing, creating content, and telling compelling stories
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, and social media platforms
• Stay organized and can balance multiple projects and deadlines
• Take initiative and aren't afraid to ask questions
• Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Represent our brands professionally in the community
• Have a valid driver's license and can occasionally lift up to 40 pounds for event setup
