About this role
The Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization providing food, shelter, clothing, and hope to people in need. The Marketing & Communications Intern will support digital marketing, social media, content creation, direct mail, experiential marketing, and fundraising campaigns while analyzing promotional data and maintaining brand consistency.
What you'll do:
- Create and execute digital marketing initiatives, including social media content, promotional graphics, and written copy
- Support digital marketing, direct mail, fundraising collateral, campaigns, and experiential marketing initiatives
- Document, analyze, and evaluate historical promotional data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to strategies designed to increase engagement with the Rescue Mission’s digital content
- Help maintain brand consistency across organizational materials and communications
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications staff and other departments as needed
- Work within the Rescue Mission’s policies, procedures, and mission statement
- Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance
- Promote a safety-first approach by following applicable safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
What they're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong written communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms
- Interest in nonprofit work and community impact
- Ability to work collaboratively, stay organized, and manage multiple assignments
- Commitment to supporting the Rescue Mission's mission by putting love into action through food, shelter, clothing, and hope
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools is a plus
