Marketing Intern

Barkera® is a company focused on the pet care industry, seeking a Marketing Intern to assist in various marketing strategies and brand recognition efforts. The role involves researching consumer trends, preparing marketing proposals, and managing social media platforms.

What you'll do:

• Assisting in researching, developing, and presenting strategies, developing brand recognition and promotional efforts
• Developing tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires
• Collecting and analyzing data to identify consumer trends
• Researching consumer opinions and marketing strategies and proposing adjustments to current strategies accordingly
• Creating graphic representations of data and translating complex research into easily readable content for stakeholders and other departments
• Preparing marketing proposals and presentations based on company needs
• Measuring consumer satisfaction with products or services
• Monitoring and managing the company’s social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed

• Strong desire to learn along with a professional drive
• Understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords, Email)
• Interest in learning various marketing platforms to produce content
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
• Academic work is a priority
• Ability to manage hours and provide weekly status reports
• Required to track time and present anticipated hours available weekly
• Working environment: Home office, On Campus, and must have access to a computer with internet
