Marketing Intern

Growing Futures Early Education Center is a nonprofit Head Start and Early Head Start program serving families across Johnson County, Kansas. The Marketing Intern will support communications, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and community engagement through social media, visual storytelling, event representation, and development activities.

What you'll do:

• Create and schedule social media content and engage with our online community
• Capture authentic photo and video stories at classrooms, family events, and other Growing Futures activities
• Assist with volunteer group coordination and support community engagement efforts
• Represent Growing Futures at local networking events, including Johnson County Chamber of Commerce gatherings
• Support the Marketing Coordinator and broader development team with communications and fundraising activities

What they're looking for:

• Interest in early childhood education, nonprofit work, or serving the community
• Comfortable taking photos and videos and engaging with children, families, and community members
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Organized, dependable, proactive, and willing to take initiative
• This is an active, community-facing role that includes local travel and work at both Growing Futures locations and off-site events
• Reliable transportation is required
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn preferred
• Canva or basic photo-editing experience is a plus
