Marketing Intern

Winland Foods is a global manufacturer of private label and branded foods based in Oak Brook, IL. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Unit/Marketing Intern to support the corporate team in various key functions, including market research, product development, and operational support.

What you'll do:

• Assist in gathering and analyzing market data, trends, and customer preferences. Support the team in identifying new market opportunities for product innovation and growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and sales to assist in the development of new products or the optimization of existing product lines. Support in drafting project plans, timelines, and product launch strategies
• Assist the Corporate Business Unit Manager with day-to-day operations, including production scheduling, supply chain coordination, and inventory management. Support in streamlining processes and identifying areas for improvement
• Work closely with finance, sales, and marketing teams to gather data and insights that impact overall business unit performance. Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic discussions
• Maintain databases and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the Corporate Business Unit. Assist with data entry, tracking project progress, and creating presentations for senior management
• Perform various administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing documents, coordinating meetings, and managing communications for the business unit

What they're looking for:

• Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Formal orientation and on-boarding
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• A passion for the food industry and a keen interest in corporate operations and business strategy

Benefits:

• Schedule: (Hybrid) Monday and Friday are remote, while Tuesday-Thursday are in office
• Additional one-time lump sum payment to support expenses
