Marketing Intern, Chartwells K12 / North Lawrence Community Schools / Bedford, IN

Chartwells K12 provides foodservice and dining programs for schools. The Marketing Intern will collaborate with operations, culinary, nutrition, and school district communications teams to execute student experience, engagement, nutrition education, hospitality, and promotional programs. The role also involves customizing marketing materials, conducting focus groups, assessing student-facing operations, and reporting performance metrics.

What you'll do:

• Execute marketing programs in partnership with operators and regional support teams to ensure continued engagement from student, clients and communities
• Train and support operators in the implementation of student-facing and front-of-house programs, systems, and processes
• Customize marketing materials – e.g. social media posts, flyers, brochures and client presentations – and coordinate with district communications teams to execute
• Conduct focus groups to understand what students and parents are looking for in the school meal program and identify areas for improvement
• Assess the front-of-house operations for the student experience, operating standards, and signature programs being in place, and work with operators to monitor results and improve over time
• Collect data and report on return on investment and key performance metrics

What they're looking for:

• 2nd or 3rd year marketing student
• Marketing experience preferred
• Ability to present to large groups
• Knowledge of merchandising and promotions
• Excellent writing skills
