Marketing Intern Summer 2027

Balfour Beatty US is a provider of general contracting, construction management, and design-build services. The Marketing Intern will support the Texas division’s work-winning team by assisting with proposals, marketing materials, research, and internal and external communications.

What you'll do:

• Supports the coordination and development of responses to requests for proposals, qualifications, and other information, including research, writing, page layout, proposal graphics, and cover design
• Coordinates with other marketing team members to efficiently share and archive information, including resumes, proposals, presentations, boilerplate narratives, graphics, photos, etc
• Participates in CRM database updates and maintenance, specifically project and employee information
• Updates and maintains client testimonials and references
• Proofreads, edits, and provides quality reviews of proposals prepared by self and others
• Supports internal and external communications, including social media, internal newsletters, and website updates
• Provides graphics and other creative support to all division departments and jobsites as needed

What they're looking for:

• Has a high school diploma or equivalent; candidates pursuing communications, marketing, journalism, or graphic design are preferred
• Demonstrates strong computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, as well as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
• Shows interest in using AI technology, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve productivity, support marketing workflows, and help the business work more efficiently
• Works as a self-starter who uses time effectively based on key priorities, accepts direction from more than one person at a time, and manages multiple projects
• Communicates clearly and develops effective customer-focused relationships at all levels of the business
• Demonstrates strengths in written, organizational, and verbal communication skills
• Adapts to changing information and business needs
• Works under strict deadlines with composure
