POSITION TITLE:     MDT Senior Investment Operations Specialist

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree, bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred
• Two years of relevant work experience; 2 years of work experience in financial services preferred
• Understanding of investments and financial markets; experience with brokage products is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel

MAJOR DUTIES:

The Senior Investment Operations Specialist will support the trading and portfolio management functions at our Boston office.  The Senior Investment Operations Specialist is a member of a fast-paced team, who can work in a deadline-driven, detail-oriented business environment.  The Senior Investment Operations Specialist provides training for new Investment Operations Specialists, and review work product for accuracy. 

• Possess subject matter expertise on the portfolio accounting systems used by MDT Operations, APL for SMA accounts, and Eagle/Electra for the Mutual Fund/Institutional accounts
• Check the set-up of new accounts on APL
• Reconcile MDT Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) and Mutual Funds/Institutional accounts each day
• Prepare daily pledges/releases as collateral for Market Neutral Fund
• Answer questions from clients, brokers, consultants, traders, and Sales staff regarding new account processing matters
• Prepare internal reports for Federated Hermes management regarding new account activity, the status of in-process new accounts, as well as daily performance for Institutional and SMA strategies
• Assist in solving reconciliation problems, processing trade error corrections, and drafting updates to written procedures

HOURS/LOCATION: 

• 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
• Hybrid work environment (in-office / remote)

The annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $102,000.  In determining salary multiple factors will be taken into consideration such as primary work location, experience, education and skill set.  In addition to base salary, this position includes eligibility for a bonus.  We offer our Employees (and, as applicable, their dependents) medical, dental, prescription, vision, and basic life insurance benefits. Additionally, Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401(k) plan.  Each calendar year employees are eligible for paid leave, which includes fifteen vacation days, seven ill days, and ten holidays.
