About this role

Position

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Media Manager who will be responsible for the seamless adaptation and execution of global media plans across the Zone, overseeing the planning, budgeting, production and execution of all campaigns across Print, Outdoors, Digital Display, Connected TV and Lightboxes. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and demonstrated experience managing multiple agency partners and external vendors.

The role will manage the planning and execution of all seasonal campaigns, sourcing and assessing brand-relevant local media opportunities within the zone, while partnering with the central team (HQ) to facilitate necessary approvals and ensure timely, effective launches.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Media Planning

  • Develop and adapt seasonal media plans by channel, ensuring alignment with global strategy, local business needs and brand guidelines
  • Partner with agency teams to build and refine media plans, incorporating market-specific nuance and opportunities
  • Continually optimize partner, tactic and channel mix to maximize impact of campaigns according to KPIs
  • Effectively manage media budgets across multiple countries and channels, ensuring alignment with internal finance team 
  • Partner with Social Media Manager to ensure alignment across all paid channels

Print Media

  • Strong knowledge  of the print media landscape, current industry trends and existing positive relationships with media vendors and publishers
  • Experience in negotiating positioning packages 
  • Co-ordination with the agency teams in Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and Latin America/ Caribbean for direction on print media plans- ability to make timely decisions on plan changes, accountability for plans and budget, direction on production and trafficking
  • Weekly management of the schedule in the New York Times Sunday Styles section which includes confirmation of media and final approval on creative production in partnership with Advertising Assistant
  • Manage appropriate monthly sign off/approval on the media plans to ensure that all media is booked in a timely fashion 
  • Co-ordination with Leased Dept Stores on participation in their seasonal catalogues. Negotiation of positions, rates, and maintenance of corresponding media plan 
  • Manage relevant budgets per zone  

OOH Media

  • Coordinate the monthly outdoor media plan for all OOH placements, inclusive of billboards and digital units
  • Ensure that video/creative are trafficked on a timely basis and that correct specifications have been provided to the HQ team
  • Continually assess new opportunities in key markets for consideration 
  • Strong knowledge of the outdoor marketplace, evolving industry trends and emerging innovation
  • Oversee production, shipping, and installs for all OOH billboard creative changeouts

Digital Display Media

  • Experience with working with a variety of different digital partners to generate media plans that meet campaign objectives
  • Ability to negotiate media opportunities with strong attention to detail on all elements of a media plan from inception to execution
  • Responsible for campaign monitoring, optimizations, and reporting to achieve optimal results
  • Coordination of all approvals, logistics, and production for timely launches
  • Ability to analyze post campaign performance for future best practice

CTV Media

  • Based on specific campaign needs, co-ordinate with the media agency on TV and Connected TV plans and buys as needed
  • Experience with planning and buying Advanced/Connected TV and Cinema as well as other digital TV opportunities

 

Profile

  • 6-7 years of experience – brand or agency side, luxury experience strongly preferred
  • Media planning and buying skills
  • Knowledge of media production
  • Strong budget management
  • Professional presentation, excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to be agile, pivot as needed and manage many high-priority projects at once, in fast paced environment
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with all media agencies and vendors
  • Team player with a pro-active attitude

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $120,000- $130,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and two retirement plans, both with employer contributions.
