Responsibilities
You will act as the first point of contact to patients who walk in or call to schedule an appointment, and will promote an atmosphere of teamwork in accomplishing the mission and goals of FMPP. Schedule patient healthcare appointments for multiple clinics. Answer all calls according to FSU SeniorHealth policies and procedures in a timely and professional manner, screen incoming phone calls, answer routine questions and forward inquiries to appropriate departments.
Verify patient insurance eligibility status, register patients, and provide information and support to patients regarding available healthcare services. Check patients in and out in a professional, timely, and hospitable manner. Collect required payments at the time of service and appropriately balance deposits. Maintain confidentiality follow applicable laws regarding personal health information.
Attend departmental meetings and serve on committees as required. Exhibit a willingness to float to all areas of need for administrative support including check in, check out, referrals or other administrative area as necessary across FMPP clinics.
Qualifications
High school diploma/equivalency and two years of experience; or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to two years.
Valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
Post-job offer, but prior to hire, the following is required:
- Documentation of current PPD (Purified Protein Derivative) test as performed by a qualified physician, reporting negative results within the past six (6) months.
- Documentation of physical examination completed by a qualified healthcare provider/physician within the past six (6) months.
Within 30 days of hire, the candidate must provide:
- Documentation of Tetanus immunization within 10 years.
- Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccine or positive antibody titer.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to take patient vital signs when a Certified Medical Assistant is unavailable.

Considerations
This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
This position will travel to Westminster Oaks, at 4449 Meandering Way, a couple days per week.
