About this role

The Membership Experience Consultant (MEC) will create a culture in the CWRU Greek Life community that focuses on leadership development and that recognizes contributions from all current and alumni members.

  • Serve as a staff member of the Greek Life Office and an ambassador for the CWRU Greek Life community by promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaged culture among current members and alumni.

  • Establish at least 4-7 office hours per week in the Greek Life Office, schedule dependent.

  • Leadership

    • Assist the Manager for Greek Leadership in the coordination, including recruitment, event logistics, assessment, and follow-up programming of large-scale leadership events

    • Develop monthly programming related to leadership development for the Greek Life community

    • Continually identify trends related to leadership development within the Greek community and address them with conviction and peer support

    • Present programming directed at coaching and mentoring, including Big/Little programming, coaching with compassion, etc.

      • Content will be created by the Manager for Greek Leadership

  • Marketing

    • Create and manage communication strategies (email, social media, website, and marketing materials) to highlight member and alumni stories, milestones, and impact.

    • Collaborate with student leaders and advisors to identify individuals and groups for recognition and to gather nominations and success stories.

    • Create and maintain organized records of recognition programming, contacts, and historical contributions for future reference and marketing.

    • Gather feedback and track engagement metrics (event attendance, social media interaction, nominations, etc.) to help improve future programming and promotional strategies.

Position Terms

  • Contract will be offered for the academic year

  • Renewal of contract possible contingent upon Performance Evaluation

  • Compensation includes bi-weekly paychecks

  • 10 hours per week, (5 hours minimum)

  • Meet with the Manager for Greek Leadership (or another staff member) in the Greek Life Office weekly

  • Attend trainings and meetings with GLO staff.

  • Maintain professionalism of office atmosphere and example for peers

Compensation

For the 2026 - 2027 academic year, the MEC will receive a bi-weekly paycheck for up to 33 weeks totaling  $5450 with a $50 merit increase for each year of additional service. This will be an hourly position with an hourly rate of $15.00.


  • Sophomore or above academic standing, with at least 2 semesters of Greek Life experience

  • Active Greek Life membership must be maintained throughout employment

  • Demonstrated experience and interest in learning more about the varied membership experiences within Greek Life

  • Maintain a semester GPA at or above 3.0 

  • Ability to work well with others and take initiative over projects

  • Ability to formulate and execute a strategic vision

  • Preference given to those able to work during the following times, however apply if interested and your hours do not fit with the listed times below:

    • Wednesdays from 8:30am to 10:00am, 1:30pm to 3:00pm

    • Fridays from 10:00am to 12:00pm (Noon)
