MERCHANDISING INTERNSHIP

Von Maur is a family-owned retail company focused on customer service and employee development. The Merchandising Intern will support buyers and merchandising teams while gaining hands-on experience in assortment planning, business analysis, vendor partnerships, inventory strategy, and retail decision-making.

What you'll do:

• Gain hands-on experience supporting Buyers and merchandising teams in daily business execution
• Analyze reports, business performance, and customer insights to identify opportunities and drive decisions
• Participate in assortment planning, inventory management, and merchandising strategy
• Participate in store visits, vendor appointments, and professional development opportunities to gain exposure across the retail business

What they're looking for:

• Must have a graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028 from a college/university
• Major related to Merchandising, Fashion, Business, Retail, Analytics, or a related field
• Available to work full time (35–40 hrs/week) during the summer and live in Davenport, Iowa for the 10-week program (paid housing provided)
• Possesses strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and interest in retail strategy and buying
• Retail, merchandising, leadership, or business experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office preferred
