About this role
Brunswick Corporation is a global marine company seeking an Accounting Intern for its Mercury Marine Central Accounting team. The intern will gain hands-on experience with month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, fixed asset and intercompany accounting, and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Assist with monthly fixed asset accounting activities, including asset additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation calculations
- Support physical asset verification projects and fixed asset audits
- Support intercompany accounting processes, including recording and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Assist with monthly & quarterly close activities
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting journal entries
- Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Assist with special projects, reporting requests, and ad hoc analyses as assigned
- Maintain compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and U.S. GAAP requirements

- Relocation: Yes
- * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- * Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits
- * Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) during the the months May through August of 2027
- * Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
- * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- * Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- * Effective verbal and written communication skills
- * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
