The Board, in carrying out its general and specific duties, does so to advance the mission of Mercy at the community level through the Corporation which they serve. Board members will Ministry, including establishing an effective organizational structure for the Board. Board members are expected to integrate into operations of the Ministry and Mercy's philosophy of health service to the community at large and especially the poor, the disenfranchised, and those wounded by contemporary society. Position Details:
Each member of the Board of Directors shall meet one or more of the following criteria:
• experience with direct service in health care
• governance and leadership experience in health care
• governance and leadership experience in Catholic ministry
• diversity in demographic background
• diversity in experiences and professional skills relevant to sustaining and growing the Ministry
• overall talent applicable to governance
