MHV Human Resources Coordinator

M&H Valve Company is a manufacturer of water and wastewater materials and part of McWane, Inc. The HR Coordinator supports company culture, provides customer service to team members, manages employee engagement and records, supports training and recruitment, and assists HR team members with program initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Proactively exhibits and promotes The McWane Way principles
• 1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members
• Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Wear appropriate PPE which may include fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head and eye protection
• Uses proper lifting and ergo techniques
• Others duties may be assigned
• Support and maintain good employee relations through employee engagement activities
• Executes employee activities designed to enrich morale and employee commitment by assisting in creating, planning and facilitating inspiring employee initiatives, events, perks and celebrations
• Develops, plans and manages special events which include pre-planning, problem-solving, logistics, directing event set-up, communicating with staff and organizing vendors and managing take-down
• Compose Quarterly Newsletter
• Facilitate Compass Programs
• Maintain hard copy and scanned copy personnel files and records in accordance with state and federal requirements and corporate guidelines, and the corporate retention policy

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field required
• Human resources experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• A concentration in Human Resources is preferred
• Heavy manufacturing experience preferred
• Certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred
