You'll be part of a collaborative team at the Division of Purchasing, helping maintain procurement records and support daily operations that enable state agencies to serve Missouri residents effectively.
Although this part-time role does not include state benefits, it offers opportunities for advancement into full-time positions with benefits.
The position is 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday-Friday). Available schedule options include: 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m., 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m., or 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Upload bid and contract files into the Division's public record information system.
- Answer phone calls from the public and state agencies.
- Open and log incoming mail, checks, and invoices.
- Advertise procurements in daily newspapers.
- Conduct bid-closing tasks, including tabulating bids in MOVERS.
- Work under general supervision and carry out responsibilities independently within established guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of office support experience and a high school diploma or equivalent (substitutions may be allowed).
- Strong time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Effective telephone and customer service skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
- Preferred, but not required: Familiarity with the state's financial management system (SAMII), OnBase, and the state's eProcurement systems (MissouriBUYS and MOVERS).
