Mobile/TAK Developer

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Mobile/TAK (Tactical Awareness Kit) Developer to work in a constantly evolving environment where new technologies are used frequently and learning never stops. The selected candidate will work remotely as part of an existing team. ## Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Android applications and plugins for the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) and related TAK ecosystem products, under the guidance of senior developers. - Assist in integrating Cursor-on-Target (CoT) messaging, mapping overlays, and situational awareness features into mobile applications. - Write, test, and debug code supporting TAK Server API integrations. - Interact with customers and end users to understand and help translate requirements into working software features. - Have the ability to produce customer facing production code day one. ## Qualifications - 1-3 years of experience in native Android development in Java and/or Kotlin. - 1-3 years of experience with code source control such as GIT. - Exposure to ATAK plugin development or the broader TAK ecosystem (TAK Server, CoT messaging, WinTAK/iTAK). ## Bonus Points - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL. - Familiarity with geospatial/mapping concepts and symbology standards (e.g., MIL-STD-2525). - Use of static analysis, unit testing, and continuous integration. - Handling more than 1 project concurrently. - Experience working within AWS environments for development, testing, and integration. - Experience working within a RHEL-based (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) development environment. - Exposure to Windows desktop application development (e.g., C#/.NET, WPF) outside of WinTAK. - Development with Python, Go, or other modern OOP languages. - Working in a Linux environment with an understanding of agile development. - Mobile/web application development and REST.
