MTC Data Analyst (Part-time)

A Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias is seeking a part-time MTC Data Analyst to support the missionaries' role in inviting others to come unto Christ. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing and improving content and metadata for MTC training languages, working closely with partners to enhance content quality and impact.

What you'll do:

• Maintains language content and metadata using Google Sheets, scripts, APIs, published linguistic data, and ad hoc processes
• Seeks content feedback from training partners
• Designs and completes quality audits to ensure data consistency and coverage
• Completes varied content management assignments with minimal supervision
• Recommends and/or create automation components to improve content maintenance processes
• Documents complex content management processes
• Requests, tracks, and communicates on the release of content updates
• May include other temporary assigned duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)

What they're looking for:

• 1 year of experience working with language learning content, data analysis, content management or language training
• Proficiency in a second language
• Ability to design and debug computational processes (data transformation, string comparison)
• Ability to design and interpret relational data structures
• Ability to interpret and articulate complex technical requirements
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet formulas (Google Sheets)
• Ability to use or learn to use Python/R and SQL
• Foundational knowledge of linguistics concepts
• Familiarity with MTC curriculum and practices
• Familiarity with TALL Embark
