Secure and operate hemodynamic monitoring equipment to ensure accurate patient assessment. Assist physicians during procedures by managing the insertion of catheters, guidewires, and other devices.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDocument hemodynamic data, patient symptoms, and responses during procedures. Monitor and promptly communicate changes in electrocardiogram (EKG), blood pressure, oxygen saturation, or other critical parameters to the physician and care team.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EOperate imaging tables and position patients to achieve optimal diagnostic imaging. Set parameters for radiation dose and manage digital image acquisition processes. Ensure radiation safety by adhering to established practices that are as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) and safety standards for patients and staff.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EReview physician orders for accuracy, diagnosis, and applicability to computed tomography and interventional procedures. Screen patients for contrast allergies, contraindications, and appropriateness that would prohibit or modify the exam. Communicate with physicians to discuss stat/urgent findings.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EInterview the patient (two patient identifiers), obtaining pertinent medical history pertaining to the computed tomography and/or procedure%27s clinical criteria. Apply technical knowledge and skills to safely perform procedures and computed tomography, adhering to age-specific guidelines.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAdvocate effectively for patients and families by addressing concerns promptly, escalating complaints to the manager or designated representative, and using the chain of command to resolve issues.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EEnsure all images and information are documented with patient identification data and labeling.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EComplete all documentation requirements after procedures, including electronic health record (EHR) updates, accurate supply scanning, and charge documentation. Ensure proper archiving of images to MIMPS medical image management processing systems (previously called PACS) by following quality control measures.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPrioritize the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from the interventional department by utilizing appropriate hand-offs for optimal care.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPerform daily and monthly CT quality control following radiation safety and physicist standards, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, initiate first-line service ticket requests, and promptly report equipment problems to biomedical/service engineers, department leadership, and radiation safety for appropriate follow-up and resolution.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EActively participate in codes and rapid response. Communicate shift hand-off regarding workflow issues with equipment or pending exams with oncoming staff.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EEngage in equitable distribution of departmental workloads.
