What the day will look like
- The Health and Benefits Regional Practice Leader holds senior management, consulting, and operational responsibilities. They are accountable for growing the number of clients and colleagues in all segments within the Northeastern area.
- Ownership of the strategic vision and direction of Health across the region
- Partner and collaborate with other business partners for growth, strategic direction, and client service
- Drive support of Aon’s 3x3 strategy across solution lines within the territory
- Grow revenue and increase market share within the region
- Manage overall financial performance and business P&L to include revenue and overall profitability
- Develop local strategies to improve client acquisition, happiness and retention
- Proactively build strategic external partnerships and leverage relationships to fulfill client needs
- Initiate and/or develop deep client relationships spanning the territory
- Drive execution of local, regional and national initiatives
- Lead strategic review of jeopardy throughout the year within the area and drive initiatives to address as appropriate
- Monitor colleague engagement and establish action plans to proactively address talent opportunities
- Network with external senior talent across the industry to deepen succession plans and strengthen the practice
- Focus on leadership development by serving as a mentor to direct reports and other high potential talent
- Keep a pulse on emerging business opportunities to evaluate the potential to implement new service offerings
- Work with other Health Leaders to better understand our clients’ current and future challenges and uses that information to explore potential solutions
- Collaborate with various service units and other sales channels to implement strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing client accounts

This role will lead client management to ensure client happiness, profitability, and excellent deliver y. It includes providing strategic leadership on new business pursuits. You will build and achieve a talent agenda to boost employee involvement and retention. Managing a pipeline of senior talent and driving financial success in the markets are also part of this role.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Fifteen plus years of Health and benefit consulting and/or leadership experience
- Demonstrated expertise managing a regional or multi-market P&L, including accountability for revenue growth, profitability, financial performance, forecasting, and focused expense management
- Proven ability to enable sales growth by working with different solution lines, markets, and client teams. They find opportunities, strengthen pipelines, expand existing relationships, and support new business development.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $300,000 to $400,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
