About this role
Providence St. Peter Hospital is seeking a Manager, Family Birth Center to lead a high-volume, comprehensive perinatal service supporting approximately 2,000–2,100 deliveries annually. This role provides 24/7 operational and clinical leadership across Labor & Delivery, Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED), OB Operating Room/Recovery, and Postpartum.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, patient flow, and resource management across all FBC areas
- Lead a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care
- Partner with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams
- Manage staff performance, engagement, recruitment, and development
- Drive quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and service line improvement initiatives
- Support budget, productivity, and operational efficiency goals
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or current enrollment in a BSN program
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years acute care professional experience within the last 7 years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or current enrollment
- Minimum 5 years recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Leadership experience in perinatal or acute care setting
- NRP upon hire
