Position Description
The Care Center Office Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors, providing prompt and courteous service to students, faculty, and staff while fostering a welcoming environment. This role supports daily operations and Care Center staff, connecting students to essential resources such as the food pantry, emergency aid, student support services, wellness services, and success coaching.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors at the Care Center front desk, providing prompt, courteous service to all inquiries
*Provide general Care Center services information, assist students with resources (e.g., technology, The Nest), and refer inquiries to appropriate staff as
needed
*Provide general office support for the department
*Data entry, scanning, copying or collating materials, and sorting or delivering department mail
Assist with appointment scheduling for prospective and current students
Assist with campus events such as Open House, departmental activities, and workshops
Monitor and track activity in Qless as required
Maintain a clean, welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students accessing Care Center services
Provides support in other Enrollment & Student Services (ESS) departments as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrate excellent customer service, customer relations skills, and a positive, welcoming attitude
Exhibit exceptional telephone etiquette and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as well as search engines and equivalents
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
Be adaptable, punctual, and quick to learn new information
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information with care
Ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with students and staff
Minimum Requirements:
Must be enrolled as a Wake Tech Community College student
Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher
