About the Department
We are seeking an organized, reliable, and proactive Office Operations Assistant to perform full-performance level clerical work in support of daily operations within our Parole Office. Working under general supervision, this position serves as a critical administrative hub for the department and requires regular direct contact with adult probationers and parolees. The primary focus of this role is ensuring the smooth, daily function of the office by maintaining accurate filing systems, creating official forms and documents, managing supply requisitions, and keeping detailed daily logs. Additionally, the Office Operations Assistant handles high-volume communication by answering incoming phone calls, taking and delivering precise messages, and routinely contacting designated personnel regarding inmate status and records.
Beyond standard administrative duties, this role provides essential clerical support to regional case management workflows. The successful candidate will complete assignments tied to key correctional documentation, including assembling and processing home plan reports, clemency paperwork, post-sentence reports for the Parole Board and correctional facilities, and violation reports. The position also involves processing co-operative paperwork for other states and carrying out related operational work as assigned. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries in a criminal justice environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Other Qualifications
Division of Corrections: Probationary period 1 yr.
