Using data and proven practice, the bureau’s programs support the delivery of direct services, linkages and referrals, population-based supports, program evaluation, education, monitoring and quality oversight, and policy and systems development.%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E

What You'll Do:
Are you organized, detail-oriented and passionate about supporting programs that make a difference? The Ohio Department of Health is seeking to fill THREE Office Professional 2 positions to provide administrative and records management support for the Complex Medical Help (CMH) program. Key responsibilities are: 

  • Enter and maintain medical and financial documentation in electronic record and document management systems. 
  • Prepare, format, proofread and update a variety of documents using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Review records for accuracy and completeness, identify discrepancies, and update information as needed. 
  • Search, compile, organize and summarize information to support reports and program operations.
  • Maintain confidential client health and fiscal records in compliance with HIPAA, agency policies and established procedures. 
  • Receive, log, index and track incoming medical and financial documents within the agency's document management system.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems and retrieve records to fulfill information requests. 
  • Update case record information and document locations. 
  • Process incoming main and scanned documents, including preparing records for electronic conversion, indexing, and storage. 
  • Generate routing correspondence, prepare copies and support general office and administrative functions.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and coordination of office equipment maintenance.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be confined to work area for long periods of time; may perform high-volume, repetitive tasks with short turnaround.

ALL ANSWERS TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PROVIDED ON YOUR CIVIL SERVICE APPLICATION.
Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 26, Step 1 of the OCSEA union Pay Range Schedule ($21.83 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($22.29) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
