The Buckwalter lab has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow, PhD, MD, or MD/PhD. We study chronic outcomes after stroke using mouse models and human studies, with a particular focus on post-stroke cognitive decline. This position is for a clinical researcher with interest in using human samples to study the biology that underlies long-term outcomes after stroke. Candidates should have a career goal to be a stroke researcher or physician scientist, and a record of doing related research in their prior position. The person who takes the position will be expected to initiate and oversee their research projects, papers, and fellowship applications with the help of the mentor. Required Qualifications
- Conferral of doctoral degree prior to appointment start date.
- Experience and training in biology, stroke and/or cognition, analysis of omics and clinical data, prior work in stroke or cognitive outcomes, writing papers and presenting research are all desirable.
- Please note that this position is not suitable for candidates with no research experience.
