About this role
The Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington invites applications for two full-time clinical practice faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, Associate Professor of Clinical Practice, or Professor of Clinical Practice with an anticipated start date of January 2027 or later. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community.
The successful candidate will provide clinical care to pediatric and adult patients with allergic and immunologic disorders in the outpatient clinics and the adult inpatient consultation service. Providers see a broad range of general allergy/immunology conditions and collaborate with numerous specialties, including Pulmonary, Infectious Diseases, and Hematology/Oncology, to provide subspecialized care. Teaching responsibilities include oversight of medical students, residents, and fellows while on clinical service, contributing to fellowship education through classroom instruction, and mentorship. The successful candidate will join a collaborative academic community and contribute to advancing the clinical, educational, and scholarly missions of the Allergy/Immunology Section. University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service.
The initial appointment period will be a minimum of three years, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the Clinical Practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.
The base salary range for this position will be Assistant Professor rank $17,084 - $20,000 per month ($205,008 - $240,000 per year); Associate Professor rank $19,584 - $22,500 per month ($235,008 - $270,000 per year); Professor rank $22,575 - $25,275 per month ($270,900 - $303,300 per year), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive pay and administrative supplement.

Applicants must hold a MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), be board eligible/board certified in Allergy & Immunology (or foreign equivalent) and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Washington.
