About this role
The Florida Gaming Control Commission regulates legal gaming and enforces Florida’s gaming laws. The Operations Analyst I reviews and analyzes facility, machine activity, licensing, and inspection data; maintains operational records and internal control documentation; supports training and meetings; and provides customer service to license holders and agency employees.
What you'll do:
- Review facility inspection records, slot machine movement records, and related data to ensure accuracy and support monthly reporting requirements
- Analyze inspection, machine activity, and licensing information and prepare data for management review
- Review, verify, and upload internal control submissions into OnBase and SharePoint for annual slot machine facility license renewals and coordinate with facility personnel to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate electronic records by uploading and organizing approved internal controls and Office of Slot Operations documentation in designated systems
- Assist with coordinating training activities and biannual meetings, including preparing agendas, training materials, and meeting arrangements
- Maintain organized physical and electronic files, including inspection reports, audits, reviews, checklists, and other operational records
- Provide professional customer service and assistance to license holders and agency employees
- Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the Chief of Slots and Slot Operations Managers; and
- Perform other duties as assigned
What they're looking for:
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- • Proficient computer skills to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and internet browser software programs
- • Competency in the operation of standard desktop computers, printers, and optical scanners
- • Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills
- • Aptitude to develop, absorb, and retain general knowledge of gaming operations
- • Ability to apply general office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation; and
- • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as a strong work ethic and self-motivation to work independently
- • This position is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL
- • Preference will be given to individuals with experience in office administrative or clerical fields
- • Preference will be given to individuals with experience in Versa Regulation and OnBase
- • Preference will be given to individuals with data entry/database experience
