About this role
Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking Operations Development Support Analysts for their Distribution System Operations department. The role involves assisting with department-wide projects to implement new systems or process improvements, providing strategic recommendations, and ensuring the effective operation of software and systems.
What you'll do:
- Serve as Program Analyst for the TNMP Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Outage Management Systems (OMS) Project
- Facilitate the prioritization of repairs and enhancements
- Provide application/product subject matter expertise
- Analyze department requirements for impact on applications and architecture; identify technical solutions and the best implementation approach
- Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of software/hardware for acquisition and business operational changes
- Proactively identify and prevent customer issues/problems
- Execute ad-hoc SQL scripts
- Participate as a team member for software/hardware project implementations
- Develop and perform training for software solution rollouts
- Participate in business process definition and re-engineering
- Ensure functional integration of business process solutions
- Install, maintain, and utilize software, utilities, and tools; evaluate and recommend software, program products, and computer hardware for effectiveness, compatibility, and ease of use

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively within a team
- Demonstrates initiative, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work across diverse and cross-functional departments
- Sound analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to make informed decisions on complex problems and issues

- In-depth knowledge of Company procedures, programs, and plans
- Thorough understanding of storage management policies and techniques
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative policies, TXNM policies and procedures, and operational procedures
- Basic knowledge of database system software, database application software, equipment compatibility issues, communication systems, operating system software and interfaces, assembler language, and PC usage
- Basic knowledge of application analysis principles, system design, and application development tools utilized by CIS development groups
- Ability to identify, document, and communicate system impacts due to proposed and implemented changes to system software, hardware, and database environments
