About this role
Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission is seeking an Operations & Organizational Development Intern to assist their Office of Operations. The intern will contribute to various projects aimed at fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with core values and the internal strategic plan.
What you'll do:
- Assist with monthly internal and external meetings
- Assist with identifying learning opportunities for DVRPC staff and the organization of learning materials available
- Research and compile a database of conferences that DVRPC staff routinely attend for learning and career advancement opportunities
- Support the maintenance and update of the intranet site with relevant information, resources, and announcements around organizational development projects
- Help plan and execute employee engagement activities in collaboration with the HR department
- Develop materials to support DVRPC’s internal meeting culture
- Perform related work as required
What they're looking for:
- Knowledge of and experience with organizational development, human resources, or learning and development
- Excellent writing and communications skills
- Ability to prioritize work and multi-task
- Proficiency in Google Suite is required
- Basic knowledge of Philadelphia regional issues and geography
- Must have completed at least one year of a college/university program or be enrolled in a master's, or an equivalent combination of experience and training, plus substantial experience, interest, or involvement in Organizational Development, HR or a related area
- Availability to start on Tuesday September 8th, 2026 is preferred
