Operations QA Intern, Summer 2027- Decatur, AL

The J.M. Smucker Co. is offering an internship within its Operations function at a manufacturing facility. The Operations QA Intern will collect and analyze production data, support process capability and grading guidance, manage projects, and document and communicate results.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with manufacturing technicians on the production floor to collect data and understand manufacturing processes
• Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results
• Collect, analyze, and utilize data to recommend improvements while interfacing with salaried employees and technicians
• Develop and update program documentation

What they're looking for:

• A rising junior or senior standing in school with requisite educational experience in a science field or engineering – Food Science or Industrial or Chemical Engineering is preferred
• A well-rounded skill set including the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Must be able to work in both an office and plant environment and comply with all safety procedures
